So what's the buzz about NM Apartment Report?
As NM Apartment Report celebrates its 6th year of publication, we took a short sabbatical to study the effectiveness of the NM Apartment report, and here is what we found:
· NM Apartment Report is read by owners who control some 67,520 units
· NM Apartment Report is read by property managers who control some 26,288 units.
· NM Apartment Report is the primary source of information for a majority of the lenders present in New Mexico.
· In the past, NM Apartment Report has separated out market fluctuations from market trends.
· NM Apartments Online, a spinoff from the NM Apartment Report, has had over 250,000 visits to the website from potential tenants looking to relocate into New Mexico's apartments (50% of the potential tenants come from outside the state, and 50% of those come from outside the country).
· NM Apartment Report reports on sales statistics, rental rates, occupancy surveys, expense dissagregations, property tax valuations and external impacts on the local multifamily industry.
· Statistics from the NM Apartment Report were recently used in the 1998 Albuquerque Apartment Market forecast (Jan '98.)
· Statistics from the NM Apartment Report were quoted in the New Mexico Business Journal four times in 1997 and twice in 1998.
· Statistics from the NM Apartment Report are featured on a bi-annual basis in the NAIOP market forecast.
· Statistics from the NM Apartment Report were recently used to educate the Bernalillo County Commissioners on the advantages of preserving affordable housing.
· Statistics from the NM Apartment Report were used in the Trammel Crow 1997 market forecast held in Portland, Oregon.
· The NM Apartment Report database was a focus story in the Commercial Investment Real Estate Journal in 1997.
So with success like this - where do we go next? Starting in the next issue, NM Apartment Report will offer the following additional products:
1. The NM Apartment Monthly - Receiving the quarterly format in full color via mail, in addition to the NM Apartment Monthly via fax email which would include sales, available product, expense surveys rental surveys, occupancy surveys, and other market tidbits and rumors. Annual Subscription $769.
2. The NM Apartment Profile includes the above two subscriptions plus a custom designed property profile that would show how your property is operating in comparison to your competition and surrounding sub-market (occupancy, rental rates, etc.) - this customized, confidential report can be forwarded to you via the Internet or in a paper report - Annual subscription $1,150.
